Berthelsen vitamin D3 50mcg is a vegan vitamin supplement with lichen extract and a full 50mcg of vitamin D3 per capsule. The product is dissolved in olive oil to increase the possible absorption of the vitamin in the body.

The lichen is a symbiotic organism of algae and fungi that is able to survive in extreme places such as high alpine and high arctic regions. The lichen has therefore developed the property of being self-sufficient in nutrients – including vitamin D3. Lichen therefore contains a lot of vitamin D3 and also has the ability to produce it itself, which is why Berthelsen vitamin D3 is extracted from lichen.

The lichen is a natural source of vitamin D3, and the contents as well as the capsule, which is made from seaweed, are therefore 100 percent vegan.

Vitamin D3 contributes to a normal function of, among other things: muscles, immune system and cell division. The vitamin also helps the body absorb phosphorus and calcium, which contribute to the natural maintenance of bones and teeth.
